AN OPEN LETTER TO MR. CHARLES WANG

Published by daswonderkidd@gmail.com at 7:59 am under NEW YORK ISLANDERS Edit This

Dear Mr Wong,

My name is Marc Crystal. I am 25 years old and live in the northern Virginia area. I grew up and lived on Long Island and am a life long New York Islanders fan. I’ve been through all the bad years. With the bad ownership in the past, players that haven’t lived up to thier billing, The inability to bring a winning and marketable franchise to an area that needs a winner. Throughout the years some of my favorite players Patrick Flatley, Darius Kaspiritus, Zigmund Palffy these players had connections with the fans and brought excitment to a lot of mediocre teams. I feel as much as I like Rick Dipetro he’s just not gonna live up to what the Islanders need him to be. There is to much pressure squarley on him to lead this team to the playoffs especially when he has shown that he cannot stay healthy. Guy’s like Richard Park and Trent Hunter shouldn’t be your go to guys day in and day out they our very good postional players but they are not superstars. Mark Streit is a great defensemen and I hope that you decide to keep him around. Trading Chris Campoli was a bad move. You once had a guy named Zdeno Chara and we let him go and now look he is argubly the best defenseman in the NHL today. Picks like Bryan Berrard, Bryan Mccabe were not franchise changing picks. The past couple years obtaing Kyle Okposo and Josh Bailey very good moves. They will both be very good NHL players. I just hope the NEW YORK ISLANDERS will be arounf to see it. MY LAST THING TO SAY IS DON’T MOVE THE TEAM. IF NASSAU COUNTY KEEPS DRAGGING THIER FEET ON THE LIGHTHOUSE JUST SCRAP THE IDEA AND BUILD THE NEW ARENA BECAUSE I AM NOT NOW NOR WILL I EVER BE A KANSAS CITY FAN.

Your Fan Forever

Marc Crystal
